Administrative Assistant

Jesse E. Moore

The Portrait of a Man of God

And the Lord answered me, and said, write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time. But shall speak, and not lie: Though wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. Habakkuk 2:2-3

A humble and anointed man of God, Pastor Moore has a heart for souls and a love for God’s people. His message of salvation and deliverance is seasoned with love and compassion. His greatest concern is that the people of God come to know the fullness of the Lord. A beloved father, husband, and man of God, Pastor Jesse E. Moore was born April 9, in Birmingham, Alabama where he was raised. After graduating from high school he moved to Detroit, MI where he was inducted into the armed forces. After serving his time in the U.S. Air Force he was discharged in Las Vegas, Nevada. In 1983 he met his wife, Evangelist Lillian Moore, and was married in 1984. In 1985 his life changed forever when he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and received the baptism of the Holy Ghost. Pastor Moore accepted his call to the ministry in July 1993 and was ordained on August 7, 1994, by the late Bishop Carruth Hall.

Pastor Moore served faithfully under the leadership of the late Superintendent Nathan Harris at Gateway To Heaven COGIC for more than 19 years. He worked faithfully in the ministry teaching, preaching the word of God, and supporting and assisting Superintendent Harris.

Pastor Moore has worked in numerous positions in the church; he served as Youth Pastor for eight years, Sunday School Teacher, District Chaplin, President of the Home & Foreign Missions, a member of the Jurisdictional Trustee Board and a member of the Ordination Board. Currently, he serves as Treasurer to the Ministers & Elders Council, and Administrative Assistant under the leadership of Bishop Leon Smith.

Denying the call to pastor, the Lord himself had to make a drastic move……“And He did it suddenly”. In August 2004, in the matter of one week, the Lord blessed Pastor Moore and chose him to Pastor Israelite Deliverance Temple COGIC. Since that time he has been responsible for many souls coming to the kingdom of God by declaring the word of God to the people. He can often be heard saying, in addition to knowing the word, we must also live the word.
